Fair season

The Midway Directory

Fairs, exhibitions and midways: when they run, what's there and how to get in. Every fact comes from the organiser first, with the date we checked it. When next year's dates aren't out, we say so instead of guessing.

Beyond the fairs

The directory also covers the rest of the midway world: arcades, museums, historic carousels, the companies that run midways, build rides and supply concessions, and the associations fairs belong to. Listings are free and factual; nobody pays to be here.

How we check a fair

Each entry is built from the fair's official site first, then government and tourism boards, then reputable news. Every line points to its source, and each source shows the day we read it. Entries are re-checked at least every six months, and past dates roll over to "not yet announced" automatically.

This is where the machine's story started: a booth on a fair midway. If you were born in fair season, the sun sign finder is free.

The Midway Mailbag

New fairs, festivals, midways and attractions as we add them to the directory. About twice a month in fair season, less in winter.
